Kaytee's parents struggle with the decision of whether they should stay together. Kaytee performs a concert at a local cafe, and finds the experience exhilarating. Morgan is furious when his mother gives away his hamsters without his consent. The family later deals with the loss of pet cat Earl, who has to be put to sleep after a long illness.
