Happy Traveller - Season 9 Episode 4 Vietnam (Part 1)
The show travels to Southeast Asia and begins its exploration of Vietnam from the south of the country and the largest city, Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon.
Eutyches and Electra see the most important sights of the city, built by the French when Indochina was their colony. They wander through markets, popular pedestrian streets and alleys with traditional shops as well as the tallest building in the city center to see the view from above.
They go to the War Remnants Museum to learn more about the Vietnam War and see up close the Independence Palace, where on April 30, 1975, the brutal 20-year war ended with the capture of Saigon by the Democratic Army of Vietnam and the reunification of the country into a Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Finally, they see the so-called "pits" of the Vietcong, that is, the underground tunnels with the network of shelters used in the war by the army of North Vietnam.
