Happy Traveller - Season 9 Episode 8 Epirus (Zagori)
This week, Happy Traveler stays in Greece with Eutychis and Elektra traveling to the beloved Epirus to see the lesser known side of Zagori.
They go to Iliohori with the heavenly waterfall for a dip in its cool waters, to Vrysohori and the bridge of Aoos where they set up for a picnic. They drive through green landscapes admiring the dense forests of Pindos and reach Vovousa, one of the most beautiful villages in Greece, which is divided in two by the Aoos river.
Next stop, Valia Kalda and Arkudorema, where they arrive after hiking by the river and the forest path. After a full day of walking and running in nature, they enjoy local cuisine, take a leisurely bike ride and spend the night in nature enjoying the moonlight.
The trip concludes with a visit to the village of Flambourari in Eastern Zagori, the fairytale lake with water lilies and the artificial lake of the sources of the Aoos River.
